Clay’s Bakery opened its doors on October 1, 1990 by Bill and Denise Bones, alongside Denise’s mother Barbara Clark, who retired to Florida in 1997. To this day, the bakery is still owned and operated by the Bones family, including four of their five kids. The bakery was named in honor of Denise’s father Clayton Earl Clark, III who passed away the year before opening the shop. He was an officer for the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, many of his brothers in blue continue to show their support for Denise and her family by visiting the bakery often.

We are very lucky to have such a wonderful staff comprised of full-time employees local to the area, as well as students from the nearby high school.
